Description
The Video Editor is responsible for transforming raw video footage into dynamic and polished short-form content tailored for social media audiences. This position calls for expertise in applying B-roll effects, captioning, and crafting seamless transitions to enhance the storytelling experience. The role does not require team management but demands excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines efficiently. The successful candidate plays a critical role in amplifying brand presence and viewer engagement through creative and professional video production techniques aligned with Skilldockhq’s marketing objectives.
Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble raw footage into engaging short-form videos suitable for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Apply color correction and grading techniques to enhance the visual quality and consistency of videos.
- Incorporate video effects, transitions, B-roll footage, and captions to create professionally polished content.
- Collaborate with content creators to ensure video storytelling aligns with the desired message and brand identity.
- Utilize editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Optimize videos for various platforms focusing on pacing, rhythm, and viewer retention.
- Review and revise edits based on feedback to ensure the highest quality final product.
- Maintain organized project files and adhere to workflow standards for consistent output.
- Stay updated on video editing trends, tools, and best practices to continually improve content quality.
- Manage and prioritize multiple video editing tasks in a deadline-driven, remote work environment.
