Description
The role involves comprehensive responsibility for the preparation and execution of drilling and blasting plans to optimize extraction of dolerite material while minimizing environmental impacts and ensuring worker safety. Additionally, the candidate will oversee the operation and maintenance of crushing and screening equipment to guarantee high-quality output ready for construction uses. The team leadership aspect includes training, supervising, and motivating workers to meet operational targets and adhere to company policies. Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise drilling and blasting activities to maximize extraction efficiency and safety.
- Operate and manage crushing and screening plants, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
- Lead and manage a team of 15 quarry workers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free working environment.
- Monitor and maintain equipment to reduce downtime and prolong machinery lifecycle.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports detailing progress, challenges, and outputs.
- Coordinate with environmental and engineering teams to comply with regulatory standards and minimize ecological impact.
- Train staff on operational procedures, safety standards, and emergency response actions.
- Manage inventory and order necessary supplies and equipment for uninterrupted quarry operations.
- Assess operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to enhance workplace safety.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry best practices.
- Facilitate effective communication between management and the quarry team to address concerns and improve processes.
