Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of 9 drilling and blasting professionals to ensure effective execution of quarry operations.
• Plan, design, and implement blast hole drilling and blasting patterns for dolerite extraction while optimizing performance and minimizing risks.
• Operate and oversee drill rig equipment to achieve precise blast hole placements and depth specifications.
• Manage the handling, storage, and transportation of explosives in compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of drilling and blasting activities to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
• Develop and enforce quarry safety procedures and promote a culture of safety among team members.
• Coordinate with engineering, geological, and environmental teams to align blasting operations with project requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on safe drilling and blasting techniques and proper use of equipment.
• Maintain records and documentation related to blasting activities, safety measures, and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to drilling and blasting operations and implement corrective actions promptly.
