Description
SR Engineering Revolution is seeking a detail-oriented Boq Maker to join our team with a minimum of one year of experience. This role involves preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BoQ) to support project planning and execution. The ideal candidate will work closely with multiple departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of quantity estimates, contributing to successful project delivery. This position includes managing a team of five, requiring strong organizational and leadership skills to coordinate workload and maintain efficiency. The Boq Maker plays a critical role in estimating costs and materials for engineering projects. Candidates must be proficient in quantity measurement, data accuracy, and documentation processes. The position demands excellent coordination, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines. The team management responsibility involves overseeing daily operations, providing guidance, and ensuring that the team produces high-quality BoQs that align with project specifications and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities for engineering projects based on project drawings and specifications.
- Review and verify quantities to ensure accuracy and completeness in the BoQ documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather accurate information for quantity estimation.
- Supervise and manage a team of five Boq Makers, guiding workload distribution and maintaining quality standards.
- Update and maintain BoQ records to reflect project changes and progress during all project phases.
- Assist in cost estimation and budgeting by providing precise quantity data and material requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and project specifications in all BoQ preparations.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and productivity in BoQ development.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in quantity measurements or data.
- Prepare reports and presentations on BoQ status, progress, and potential risks related to quantity estimation.
