Community Fundraising and Membership Officer

Description

Strive Eradication of Disability Foundation seeks a dedicated Community Fundraising and Membership Officer to enhance its community-based fundraising initiatives, membership growth, and volunteer coordination efforts. This full-time role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and focuses on building strong relationships with donors, members, and volunteers. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of three years of experience in fundraising, community engagement, sales, marketing, or nonprofit environments, supported by excellent communication and organizational skills. The position does not involve managing a team but requires collaboration with internal teams to achieve fundraising and engagement goals. In this role, the officer plays a crucial part in developing and maintaining extensive community networks, organizing fundraising events, and driving membership enrollment and renewal processes. They are responsible for accurate record-keeping and follow-up activities that foster retention of supporters and volunteers. Coordinating integrated campaigns with the Digital Fundraising Officer and Communications & Engagement team, the officer works towards meeting agreed targets, maintaining a proactive and results-driven approach to support the foundation's mission effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and coordinate physical and community-based fundraising activities to support organizational goals.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, small contributors, and community supporters to enhance fundraising outcomes.
• Manage membership outreach, including enrollment, renewals, and ongoing engagement, to strengthen membership base.
• Recruit, coordinate, and retain volunteers by collaborating closely with the Communications & Engagement team to maximize volunteer impact.
• Develop and expand community networks to identify new opportunities for fundraising, membership growth, and supporter involvement.
• Organize and oversee fundraising drives, community events, and local outreach activities to engage the community effectively.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donors, members, volunteers, and all fundraising activities to ensure data integrity.
• Conduct timely follow-ups with donors, members, volunteers, and supporters to enhance retention and ongoing engagement.
• Coordinate with the Digital Fundraising Officer and Communications & Engagement team to deliver integrated fundraising campaigns.
• Work diligently to achieve fundraising, membership, and community engagement targets and prepare regular progress reports.
• Ensure all activities comply with the organization's policies and standards while representing the foundation positively in the community.
• Demonstrate self-motivation and a target-oriented mindset to continuously improve fundraising and membership results.
