Description

Sunrise Mart is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Data and Inventory Technician (DIT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data management practices and effective use of computer applications, particularly MS Excel. This role requires experience with point of sale (POS) software and inventory management systems to ensure accurate stock control and sales reporting. The technician will handle barcode generation, stock entry, and daily sales documentation while also providing basic IT support and troubleshooting within the store environment. Candidates should bring at least two years of related experience and demonstrate an ability to work independently without team management responsibilities. The DIT plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory and sales data, which supports day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making at Sunrise Mart. This position demands a proactive approach to problem solving, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to keep the inventory system up-to-date and the sales reports accurate. By managing data effectively, the DIT contributes to the smooth functioning of store processes, ensuring customers receive high-quality service and products remain well-stocked.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update inventory data accurately using POS software and inventory management tools.
• Generate barcodes for new stock items and maintain proper stock entry procedures to track inventory levels.
• Prepare and submit daily sales reports to monitor business performance and support financial tracking.
• Use MS Excel to analyze and organize data related to stock, sales, and other operational metrics.
• Perform routine troubleshooting of computer systems and POS terminals to minimize downtime.
• Assist with basic networking issues within the store environment to ensure connectivity and smooth operation of IT systems.
• Collaborate with store management to identify discrepancies in inventory and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain documentation related to inventory transactions, stock adjustments, and IT maintenance activities.
• Support the implementation of new inventory management processes and technologies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures concerning data accuracy and security.
