The Hotel Housekeeper plays a crucial role in creating a positive guest experience through cleanliness and attentive service. The Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for carrying out daily cleaning tasks according to established procedures while ensuring that all areas meet the hotel’s quality standards. The role involves handling cleaning chemicals safely, managing housekeeping supplies, and carefully inspecting rooms to maintain cleanliness and guest privacy. The candidate must be vigilant in reporting maintenance issues and adhere to sanitation protocols to promote a hygienic environment. This entry-level position is suitable for applicants with a minimum of one year of relevant experience in hotel housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and turnover of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms to meet hotel hygiene standards, including replenishing toiletries and supplies.
• Make beds and change bed linens accurately while ensuring proper handling of laundry items.
• Handle cleaning chemicals responsibly and follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents or damage.
• Manage housekeeping carts and supplies to ensure availability and organization during cleaning shifts.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to maintain cleanliness standards and address any deficiencies.
• Respect guest privacy and comply with hotel policies when entering and cleaning rooms.
• Report any maintenance issues or damages observed in guest rooms or public areas promptly to maintenance staff.
• Follow established guest room cleaning and sanitation procedures to maintain a healthy environment.
• Support hotel staff by preparing rooms for new arrivals and assisting with cleaning public spaces as needed.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored properly after each use.
