Description
Super Bravo Paints is seeking an experienced Color Matcher to join our team and lead the color matching operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both water-based and oil-based color formulation, backed by at least 10 years of hands-on experience. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can ensure precise color matching and maintain high-quality standards that meet the company’s objectives. The Color Matcher will manage a team of three members, overseeing their daily tasks and providing guidance to achieve consistent color accuracy in all production batches. In this role, the Color Matcher will apply expertise in color difference analysis and quality control techniques to uphold the excellence of our paint products. You will collaborate closely with production and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot any deviations from color standards and continuously improve formulation processes. This position plays a key part in delivering customer satisfaction by ensuring that all colors meet stringent quality benchmarks whether in water-based or oil-based formulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of three color matching specialists, providing training and supervision to maintain high performance and accuracy.
- Develop and refine color formulas for both water-based and oil-based paint products, ensuring consistency with customer specifications.
- Perform precise color matching tasks by considering pigment properties, concentration, and interaction to achieve the desired shade.
- Conduct color difference analysis using industry-standard tools and techniques to identify and correct color discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain color quality control procedures to monitor the color accuracy throughout production cycles.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve formulation issues and optimize processes for efficiency and quality improvement.
- Maintain detailed records of color formulations, quality control results, and process adjustments to support traceability and compliance.
- Stay updated with advancements in color matching technology and materials to incorporate best practices in daily operations.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards in all color matching and formulation activities.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments to coordinate sourcing of pigments and materials with consistent quality.
