Description
Regional Supply Chain & Maintenance Assistant (SC&MA) serves as the focal point for planning, implementing, and monitoring Benazir Nashonuma Program activities at the district level, with a particular focus on the effective operation of Facilitation Centres.
The role ensures that centres function as transparent, accountable service hubs delivering nutrition support, counselling, and health referrals to pregnant and lactating women and children under two. By coordinating stakeholders, supervising staff, and maintaining quality standards, the DNC guarantees that Facilitation Centres operate efficiently, align with program objectives, and contribute to improved maternal and child nutrition outcomes (SCMA) and Cluster NIS staff must be stationed at the district level and assigned to FCs where adequate space is available.
The assigned locations must be shared with WFP monitors and the Provincial Office. SCMA and NIS are required to maintain an accurate attendance register, to be submitted with payroll invoices. Supply Chain staff must closely coordinate with the DHO Office, BISP, NADRA, and the FC Medical Superintendent, and maintain properly documented meeting minutes.
Required Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in social sciences or relevant subjects.
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in maternal and child health/nutrition, including at least 2-3 years in field level operations.

- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills, with knowledge of health/nutrition data collection tools and software.

- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant data/reporting software.
- Fluency in Pashto, English and Urdu is required

Previous work in NGOs preferably in remote areas.

Responsibilities
Regularly review exit cases and ensure availability of signed consent forms.
Visibility board (availability, visibility, and updated log)
Beneficiary waiting area (basic facilities such as fans and water in working condition)

Drinking water and water cooler (availability and functionality)
Updated visibility materials, including BFB banners

Compliance status and call updates
Conduct stock verification by reconciling physical stock with application records, stock registers, and stock cards.
Monitor store room capacity, food stock levels, and maintain records of empty sachets and cartons.
Ensure that waybills are properly handled by FC team.
Ensure staff attendance registers are properly maintained in line with the agreed FLA.
Planning and Reporting
Supply Chain staff shall develop and submit a monthly work plan, ensure its timely implementation, and share key observations and findings from all field visits. During each field visit, photographic evidence, including a clear image of the FC signboard, must be captured and maintained as Means of Verification (MOV).
Each Supply Chain and Market Assistant (SC&MA) is required to conduct a minimum of two monitoring visits per month to each Facilitation Centre (FC) and document observations in both the visit report and the FC monitoring register maintained at the site.
Furthermore, the SC&MA must conduct at least one market visit every month, assess the availability and movement of Specialized Nutritious Food (SNF) in local markets, and submit a comprehensive market visit report to the supervisor
Operational Requirements
SCMA must ensure call center data is accessible at each FC, with complete remarks and follow-up notes for position justification. Maintain and monitor FC infrastructure and service standards, including:
The call center must be locally based within the district, with staff fluent in local languages and familiar with all locations.
Support staff duty rosters must be displayed clearly, with night shifts ensured for food and NFIs security.
FC level records must include:
Call forward copies
Records of minor repairs ( work details) stationery, cleaning and fire extinguishers are placed with expiry date.
Documentation of all expenditures and operational activities
Participate in Cluster-level planning and review meetings.
Regularly update the Provincial Project Manager based in the PMU office.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with line departments, organizations, local partners, and stakeholders in the respective districts.
Maintain close coordination with the FC team and report daily, weekly, and monthly to the provincial office.
Ensure enrollment of beneficiaries in the program and conduct routine follow-ups.
Minimize overdue follow-ups for beneficiaries flagged as red or yellow cases.
Ensure that active screening, anthropometric measurements, beneficiary enrollments, and distribution of supplies is made at FC level
Manage supply chain and storage effectively.
Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports for submission to the Line Manager.
Perform any other tasks assigned by the Provincial Program Manager.
