Description
Switch8 is looking for a detail-oriented Machine Operator with at least three years of experience to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining injection moulding machines, ensuring product quality through rigorous process monitoring and quality control. This role includes setting up and changing molds efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain smooth production workflows. The candidate will also manage a small team of two persons, overseeing daily operations and supporting team members to achieve production goals. The Machine Operator will contribute to Switch8’s manufacturing excellence by adhering to safety standards and performing quality checks throughout the injection moulding process. Strong attention to detail and the ability to monitor and adjust machine parameters are essential. The role requires proactive communication and collaboration with team members to resolve issues quickly and maintain high productivity levels.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor injection moulding machines to ensure efficient production.
- Perform mold setup and changeover promptly to minimize machine downtime.
- Conduct quality control inspections on produced items to maintain product standards.
- Monitor process parameters continuously and adjust machine settings as necessary.
- Manage and supervise a team of two operators, providing guidance and support.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any machine issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical or process-related problems during operations.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Train new operators and share best practices to improve team performance.
