Project Engineer

Description

Taiba Developers is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer (Civil) to join the Oasis Palm Tower project team. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in construction and civil engineering and possesses strong technical knowledge in site layout, marking, construction management, and quality assurance. This role requires hands-on coordination and execution of construction activities, ensuring project milestones are met efficiently and within budget. The candidate will work full-time on-site, supporting the technical aspects of the project to achieve high standards of quality and safety. The Project Engineer will focus on organizing and supervising daily construction operations, providing guidance for field teams, and collaborating with various departments to guarantee smooth project progression. While this position does not involve team management, the candidate must excel at communication, problem solving, and budgeting to maintain control over project resources, schedules, and quality standards. This full-time role ensures active participation in the technical delivery of civil construction project components for Taiba Developers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute complete site layout and marking according to project specifications and engineering drawings.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor progress of construction activities on-site, identifying and resolving any issues to avoid delays.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations at all construction sites.
• Conduct regular quality assurance inspections to verify workmanship and materials meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with design teams and other engineers to clarify technical details and resolve project challenges.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project reports, including daily logs, progress reports, and budget tracking.
• Assist in construction estimating and budgeting to manage costs effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support procurement activities by reviewing material specifications and cost estimates.
• Participate in coordination meetings with stakeholders to align project schedules and objectives.
• Review and verify contractors’ work to ensure compliance with contract specifications and technical standards.
• Implement corrective actions on any deviations in construction activities and document resolutions.
• Oversee the implementation of project quality control procedures to maintain high standards.
• Ensure smooth communication between on-site teams and office management to optimize workflow.
• Address technical queries promptly, providing sound engineering solutions in a timely manner.
