Description
Techno is seeking a diligent and skilled Field Engineer to support our technical operations in various field environments. The candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical wiring and CCTV camera systems to ensure optimal performance and security. The role demands hands-on technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving while working independently or as part of a team in dynamic field settings. Although this position does not involve managing a team, effective communication and cooperation with clients and other stakeholders are vital to success. The Field Engineer will work closely with the technical and support divisions, performing on-site tasks, including inspection, testing, and repair of electrical installations. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in electric wiring and CCTV camera installation practices, demonstrating a commitment to safety standards and quality assurance. The role requires adaptability to work in varying environments and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently to meet operational deadlines and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain electric wiring systems according to technical specifications and safety regulations.
- Install and set up CCTV cameras and related surveillance equipment ensuring proper functionality and coverage.
- Inspect electrical and CCTV installations to diagnose faults or malfunctions promptly using appropriate testing equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks on installed systems to minimize downtime and enhance operational reliability.
- Collaborate with clients to understand installation requirements and provide technical support and guidance during and after installation.
- Document all work conducted, including installation details, maintenance records, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and compliance.
- Follow all safety protocols and standards to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
- Respond to emergency repair requests efficiently to restore system functionality with minimal disruption.
- Recommend improvements or upgrades to existing electrical or surveillance systems based on site evaluations.
- Coordinate with the internal technical team to report issues, escalate critical problems, and share field insights for continuous improvement.
