Description
At Technopole Industries, we are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for innovative product development within the steel industry. The ideal candidate brings 4-5 years of relevant experience and has expertise in advanced 3D CAD modeling and engineering drawing interpretation. As a Design Engineer, you will lead a team of 10 professionals, driving the design, analysis, and validation of components and assemblies to ensure manufacturability and performance excellence. Your work will directly influence product quality and efficiency, contributing to the company’s commitment to delivering superior engineered solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA), finite element analysis (FEA), and product lifecycle management (PLM) to optimize product designs for real-world applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into detailed, producible designs using industry-standard tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Your expertise in parametric 3D CAD modeling and the creation of technical drawings will be essential in communicating design intent clearly and facilitating efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 10 design professionals to achieve project milestones and deliverables within set timelines.
- Develop and optimize detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and blueprints for new and existing products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate the structural integrity and performance of designs under specified conditions.
- Apply design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) principles to improve product manufacturability and reduce production costs.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product development and validation.
- Conduct design validation and verification activities to confirm that products meet functional and safety requirements.
- Manage product lifecycle management (PLM) processes to track design revisions, maintain documentation, and facilitate collaboration.
- Interpret engineering specifications and customer requirements to create innovative, reliable design solutions tailored for the steel industry.
- Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD software to generate parametric part and assembly designs as well as 2D technical drawings.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in design processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Mentor and develop team members by providing technical guidance and promoting best engineering practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate modern techniques into product development.
