Civil Engineer /Site Engineer

Description

The Engineers is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer / Site Engineer with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in managing construction projects, particularly focused on the construction of high-end luxury villas and complex reinforced cement concrete structures. The ideal candidate will have expertise in construction site management, ensuring the smooth execution of work sequences, and coordinating with contractors and subcontractors efficiently. This role demands a thorough understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and quality control procedures to maintain high construction standards. The Civil Engineer / Site Engineer works closely with various stakeholders to oversee the physical progress on the site, interpret construction drawings with accuracy, and ensure cost-effective quantity takeoffs and estimations. While this position does not require team management, the candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, including site execution and quality assurance measures, ensuring compliance with project timelines and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily construction site activities while ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret technical construction drawings and blueprints to guide construction activities accurately.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost estimations to support project budgeting and resource allocation.
• Enforce adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines throughout the construction process.
• Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures including inspection and test plans and method statements.
• Coordinate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain project schedules and resolve technical issues.
• Oversee site execution, identifying and scheduling work sequencing to optimize resource utilization and reduce delays.
• Use AutoCAD to review design plans and assist in problem-solving construction and design challenges.
• Monitor material usage and labor productivity to ensure cost efficiency and prevent wastage.
• Perform regular site inspections to examine construction quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project plans.
• Prepare detailed daily and weekly reports on site progress, challenges, and future work plans.
• Ensure that all construction activities meet quality and safety standards to minimize risks and rework.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for audits, project tracking, and reporting purposes.
