Description
Tropical Software Solutions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Business Analyst focused on software development to join our remote team. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting software requirements that align with business needs and technical possibilities. The ideal candidate will effectively collaborate with product managers, designers, developers, and quality assurance teams to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery. This position is perfect for a professional with at least one year of experience in a software house or IT environment who is passionate about transforming business workflows into precise, actionable software specifications. The Business Analyst at Tropical Software Solutions will play a crucial role in supporting Agile and Scrum methodologies by preparing essential documentation such as business requirements documents, functional requirement documents, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria. The analyst will be responsible for maintaining accurate product documentation and tracking task progress through project management tools. Although this role does not include managing a team, it requires excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple departments and contribute to building innovative software products.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document detailed software requirements that meet business needs.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Developers, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure mutual understanding of requirements.
- Analyze and map current business workflows and processes, translating them into technical specifications with precise detail.
- Break down complex product requirements into clear, manageable development tasks to facilitate effective implementation.
- Review software features and deliverables to verify they meet the approved requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain and update accurate product documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate actively in requirement-gathering meetings and Agile/Scrum ceremonies to support iterative development and continuous improvement.
- Track progress of tasks and projects using project management tools such as Jira or ClickUp.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating that software solutions meet business expectations.
- Apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices to enhance project delivery.
- Leverage familiarity with SaaS products, web applications, APIs, databases, and AI tools to improve requirement analysis and solution design.
