Mobile App QA Engineer

Description

Trusted Technologies seeks a detail-oriented Mobile App QA Engineer to ensure the quality and performance of Android mobile applications. This role focuses on comprehensive testing efforts across various devices, screen sizes, and Android versions. The engineer collaborates closely with developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers to identify, document, and resolve application issues, maintaining the highest standards before production release. The ideal candidate has 1 to 2 years of practical experience in mobile application quality assurance, with a strong understanding of software testing methods, bug tracking, and mobile app workflows. The Mobile App QA Engineer designs and executes test plans and cases, performs functional, regression, integration, usability, and compatibility testing, and engages in continuous process improvement. Proficiency with bug tracking tools, mobile automation testing, and debugging utilities enhances the effectiveness in this role. The engineer rigorously verifies bug fixes, performs regression testing with every update, and assists in release testing to ensure stability and optimal user experience. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.

Responsibilities

• Test Android applications on multiple devices, screen sizes, and hardware configurations to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Develop, document, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios aligned with project requirements.
• Identify, log, and track bugs systematically using company project management or bug-tracking systems such as Jira or Trello.
• Provide clear, reproducible bug reports including steps to reproduce, screenshots, videos, logs, and other pertinent data.
• Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing after each application release or major update to confirm stability.
• Assess application features, user flows, user interface, performance, and overall stability throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with development, design, and project management teams to diagnose and resolve application defects.
• Maintain QA documentation, test reports, and records to support quality assurance processes and compliance standards.
• Perform testing across different Android versions and device configurations to ensure broad compatibility and usability.
• Monitor application crash reports and assist in identifying root causes and methods to reproduce issues.
• Participate actively in daily development and QA meetings; provide clear updates on testing status and product quality.
• Continuously review and improve testing methodologies and processes adhering to company QA standards.
• Assist in release testing activities to confirm mobile apps meet all quality benchmarks prior to production deployment.
