Description
Tutoronics is seeking an experienced Online English Tutor to deliver high-quality instruction in IGCSE, AS Level, and A Level English curricula. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Cambridge International syllabi, excellent communication skills, and experience teaching students in a remote environment using modern digital tools. This part-time, freelance role requires a tutor who can adapt lessons to individual student needs, provide targeted exam preparation, and support learners in developing their reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and literary analysis skills. The tutor will lead a team of 10 individuals, collaborating to create enriching educational experiences and maintaining high standards in teaching delivery. The position involves preparing lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives, monitoring student progress, and fostering an engaging online classroom environment. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of online tutoring experience in English and be proficient with platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom. A relevant academic qualification in English or a related discipline is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging online English lessons for IGCSE, AS Level, and A Level students, focusing on all aspects of the syllabus.
- Teach reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, vocabulary building, and literary analysis aligned with exam requirements.
- Utilize effective digital teaching tools including digital whiteboards, screen sharing, and interactive online platforms to enhance learning.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, practice exercises, and revision materials tailored to the Cambridge International curriculum and assessment standards.
- Adapt instructional methods and materials to suit individual learner needs and skill levels.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress continuously, providing regular and constructive feedback to support academic development.
- Prepare students for examinations by teaching exam techniques and conducting mock tests aligned with examination objectives and specifications.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and clear communication with students and team members to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Coordinate and lead a team of 10 tutors to ensure consistency in educational delivery and uphold Tutoronics’ quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to share best practices, curriculum resources, and teaching strategies to improve overall student outcomes.
- Stay updated with developments in the Cambridge International curriculum and integrate new methodologies and content as appropriate.
- Create a positive and motivating learning atmosphere that encourages student participation and academic confidence.
