Description
The ideal candidate must have at least two years of online tutoring experience and a robust proficiency in Psychology subject matter, including cognitive, biological, social, developmental, and abnormal psychology, as well as research methods relevant to the syllabus. Proficiency with online teaching platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom is essential for conducting classes effectively. Candidates with a degree in Psychology or a related field are preferred, along with excellent communication skills in English. This role plays a vital part in empowering students to excel academically by helping them master essay writing, research interpretation, and exam techniques through structured, engaging, and student-centered lessons geared toward exam success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and interactive online Psychology lessons tailored to IGCSE, AS Level, and A Level curricula.
- Clarify complex psychological theories, concepts, and research studies with relevant examples to enhance understanding.
- Cover core topics including cognitive, biological, social, developmental, abnormal psychology, and psychological research methods.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans, revision notes, practice questions, and past-paper exercises aligned with exam board syllabi.
- Guide students in developing critical thinking skills, research analysis, and academic writing abilities specific to Psychology.
- Teach interpretation of research findings and application of psychological concepts in examination scenarios.
- Continuously assess student progress, identifying strengths and areas for improvement, and providing constructive feedback.
- Adapt teaching techniques to suit diverse learning styles and individual student needs, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
- Utilize digital teaching tools such as Google Meet, Zoom, digital whiteboards, and screen sharing to enhance lesson delivery.
- Stay informed about changes and updates in international Psychology exam boards and curricula to maintain relevant teaching content.
- Manage scheduling and communication with students to maintain consistent and reliable tutoring sessions.
- Encourage and support student motivation and confidence through personalized coaching and engagement strategies.
