Logistics Incharge/Supervisor

Description

Unique Batteries seeks an experienced Logistics Incharge/Manager to oversee the planning, implementation, and coordination of logistics operations. The ideal candidate ensures the efficient flow of goods and materials from suppliers to the company and ultimately to customers. This role focuses on optimizing supply chain processes, managing inventory control, coordinating transportation, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The position requires a strategic thinker with the ability to improve logistics workflows and reduce operational costs while ensuring timely delivery. With a minimum of eight years of relevant experience and an educational background of graduation or master's degree, the successful candidate will utilize their expertise in supply chain management and transportation management systems for continuous improvement. Although this position does not involve team management, it demands collaboration across departments and external partners to accomplish organizational objectives efficiently and cost-effectively in the Hyderabad location.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to optimize supply chain operations and enhance productivity.
• Coordinate and oversee transportation activities, including selection and negotiation with carriers to guarantee cost-effective and timely delivery.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure reliable service and favorable terms.
• Identify and implement cost optimization practices without compromising service quality and delivery timelines.
• Supervise daily transportation and logistics operations.
• Manage the schedules of company vehicles, or contactors, drivers, and transporters.
• Ensure timely loading, dispatch, and delivery of raw materials, finished goods, and other materials.
• Monitor inbound and outbound material movement.
• Maintain delivery challans, gate passes, invoices, and other transportation documents.
• Coordinate daily with drivers and transporters and warehouse or production planning.   
• Maintain records of vehicle trips, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
• Resolve delivery delays, vehicle breakdowns, and other transportation-related issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse, Purchase, Production, Sales, and Accounts departments.
• Verify transporter bills, trip sheets, and related documents.
• Prepare daily and weekly logistics reports.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and logistics policies.
