United Human Resource Services Pvt. Ltd invites applications for the position of Industrial Process Analyst. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Chemical, Textile, or related fields and has at least three years of relevant industrial sector experience. This role requires a detail-oriented analyst capable of verifying industry claims related to raw material consumption and finished goods output and supporting customs authorities in evaluating duty exemptions and export-related incentive schemes. The Industrial Process Analyst contributes to maintaining accurate input-output norms for industries, assisting in customs decision-making processes, and ensuring compliance with public service and government regulations. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting industrial site audits, plant process evaluations, and sectoral studies to establish efficiency and yield benchmarks. Strong data analysis, documentation, and presentation skills are crucial to prepare comprehensive technical reports and recommendations that support customs policies. This position demands a professional with an analytical and investigative mindset who can work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including trade associations and customs staff. Although this role does not require managing a team, the candidate must demonstrate commitment to integrity, critical thinking, and collaborative engagement.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Collectorate in verifying industry claims regarding raw material consumption and finished goods production, ensuring accuracy aligned with actual manufacturing processes.
- Support the assessment of applications related to duty exemptions and export facilitation incentive schemes by analyzing input-output data.
- Conduct detailed sectoral studies to establish standard input-output ratios and production norms for industries eligible for customs concessions and export schemes.
- Perform field visits and plant inspections to observe, evaluate, and document industrial processes and material efficiency practices.
- Engage with stakeholders including industry representatives and trade associations to gather insights and validate findings.
- Provide informed expert opinions and technical support during investigations, audits, and decision-making processes concerning customs duties and input-output evaluations.
- Maintain and periodically update a reliable database of sector-specific input-output norms to assist in customs operations and policy development.
- Prepare clear, data-driven technical reports, case notes, and recommendations to inform customs policy formulation and improve duty drawback methodologies.
- Assist in the determination and periodic review of duty drawback rates by analyzing production costs and efficiency metrics.
- Deliver training sessions and provide ongoing technical support to customs staff to enhance their understanding of industrial processes and input-output analysis.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to meet organizational objectives and uphold government compliance and public service standards.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Collector as part of maintaining robust industrial customs processes.
