The Students Counselor collaborates closely with the processing team to maintain detailed records and follow up on leads. This position does not involve managing a team but requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple student inquiries efficiently through calls, walk-ins, and online platforms. Responsibilities
- Advise students on suitable study abroad programs and university options based on their academic interests and career aspirations.
- Respond professionally to student inquiries via phone calls, face-to-face meetings, and online communications.
- Assist students in completing application forms accurately and provide guidance on documentation requirements.
- Maintain updated records of student interactions and application statuses using CRM tools or other software.
- Conduct motivational interviews and behavioral assessments to understand student needs and tailor counseling approaches.
- Collaborate with the processing team to ensure timely submission of applications and resolve any procedural issues.
- Follow up diligently with prospective students to nurture leads and encourage application completion.
- Apply active listening and behavior change counseling techniques to support students in decision-making processes.
- Prepare and present detailed information about universities, scholarships, and visa procedures to students.
- Continuously update knowledge about international education policies, admission timelines, and scholarship opportunities.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance counseling methods and stay current with education trends.
