Waresa Industry (Pvt) Limited is seeking an experienced professional in footwear production management to lead and optimize our shoe manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the footwear industry, specifically with experience in cut-to-pack manufacturing processes. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of production planning, quality control, lean manufacturing techniques, and cost efficiency management. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire production workflow, ensuring high product quality and timely delivery while maintaining optimal resource utilization. This position involves managing a team of 20 individuals, including production supervisors and line workers, to ensure a smooth manufacturing process from raw material handling to final product assembly. The role demands strong leadership skills, combined with technical expertise in footwear assembly-line balancing, takt-time optimization, and the application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies such as 5S and Kaizen. The successful candidate will possess at least eight years of relevant experience and hold an engineering degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Polymer, Electrical engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed production plans and schedules to meet company goals and delivery timelines.
• Supervise and coordinate all activities involved in footwear manufacturing, including cut, sew, assemble, and finishing operations.
• Manage a production team of 20 personnel, fostering a productive work environment and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Oversee quality control and assurance processes to maintain high-quality product standards and reduce defects.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Six Sigma DMAIC to improve production efficiency and eliminate waste.
• Conduct production cost and efficiency analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Balance footwear assembly lines and optimize takt time to maximize throughput and minimize bottlenecks.
• Utilize ERP and MRP systems to monitor production progress, manage inventory levels, and coordinate materials management.
• Perform time-and-motion studies to analyze workflow and implement line balancing strategies for enhanced productivity.
• Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure materials availability aligns with production schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process standardization, equipment maintenance, and workforce training.
• Ensure compliance with all operational policies, industry regulations, and company standards throughout the production cycle.
• Prepare regular reports on production performance metrics, costs, and improvement actions for senior management review.
