Description
WBuilders is seeking a highly experienced Resident Engineer with 20 years of expertise in the construction industry, specializing in high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, and large-scale projects. The Resident Engineer plays a critical role in overseeing site execution to ensure that construction activities strictly adhere to approved drawings and technical specifications. This position demands a deep understanding of construction quality assurance and quality control principles, as well as comprehensive knowledge of safety compliance to maintain a safe work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for continuously monitoring construction progress and maintaining high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinating effectively with consultants, contractors, and project management teams is essential to ensure timely and successful project delivery. While the role does not involve managing a team, the Resident Engineer must demonstrate strong technical competence and problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement root cause analysis along with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to enhance project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret construction plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Oversee daily site activities to ensure work is performed according to approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures to maintain the highest construction quality standards.
- Monitor construction progress and prepare regular reports to track milestones and identify potential delays or issues.
- Ensure strict adherence to construction safety regulations and compliance protocols by all site personnel.
- Conduct root cause analysis of any defects or non-conformances and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project management teams to resolve issues and facilitate project coordination.
- Verify materials and workmanship meet specified standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation related to site activities, inspections, tests, and quality control measures.
- Provide technical guidance to site personnel and support problem resolution during construction activities.
- Assist in risk identification and mitigation measures to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to maintain clear understanding of project goals and expectations.
