Description
WBuilders is looking for a skilled Site Engineer with extensive experience in civil construction, specializing in high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, and large-scale development projects. This role demands a detail-oriented professional who supervises daily site activities, ensures adherence to approved construction drawings and specifications, and maintains quality, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle. The Site Engineer works closely with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project management teams to meet project goals and timelines. The ideal candidate has at least 15 years of relevant civil construction experience and is proficient in construction site supervision, interpreting construction drawings, health, safety, and environmental management, as well as construction planning, scheduling, and cost control. Although this role does not involve managing a team, it requires effective coordination and communication skills to facilitate smooth project execution and oversight.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site to ensure work is performed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Interpret and review construction drawings, plans, and project documentation to guide construction teams accurately.
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate schedules and workflows with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Assist in construction planning and scheduling to optimize resource allocation and workflow efficiency.
- Conduct quantity measurement and cost control activities to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Perform regular site inspections to ensure quality standards and workmanship meet project requirements.
- Report progress, challenges, and risks to the project management team for informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to construction and safety.
- Support procurement and logistics efforts by providing site-specific requirements and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of construction activities, site conditions, and technical discrepancies.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve on-site technical issues and implement effective solutions.
