Extruder Line Operator

Description

Western Agri Industries is seeking a skilled Extruder Line Operator to efficiently operate and monitor masterbatch extrusion machines, ensuring safe and consistent production of color and filler masterbatch products. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with twin-screw or similar extrusion machines, along with an understanding of polymer processing, pigments, additives, fillers, and masterbatch production. This role requires managing machine parameters to attain quality production, adhering to safety and quality standards, and maintaining comprehensive machine and production records. The operator will oversee a team of four, coordinating effectively with Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, and other departments to meet production goals and uphold operational excellence. This full-time position based in Taxila, Punjab, Pakistan offers a dynamic working environment where the operator plays a critical role in machine operations, troubleshooting, and quality control. The role demands the ability to perform machine start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and changeover procedures while continuously monitoring key process variables such as temperature, pressure, RPM, and feeding systems. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience and be willing to work shifts to achieve production targets. Responsibilities

• Operate and continuously monitor masterbatch extrusion machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Set and adjust machine parameters including temperature, pressure, screw speed, and feeding rates according to production requirements and formulation specifications.
• Perform routine machine start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and changeover processes to maintain production schedules and machine integrity.
• Conduct in-process quality assessments to maintain consistent product quality in terms of color, dispersion, and output levels.
• Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot extrusion and processing issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Maintain accurate and detailed production logs and machine operation records to ensure traceability and facilitate reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety protocols, quality management standards, and housekeeping procedures within the production area.
• Manage and supervise a team of four operators, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and professional development.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, and other related departments to coordinate activities and resolve operational challenges.
• Monitor raw materials such as polymers, pigments, additives, and fillers to ensure proper handling and integration into the extrusion process.
• Adhere to shift duties and production targets effectively, adapting to operational demands and workflow changes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize extrusion processes, improve product quality, and increase operational efficiency.
