Architect / Roofing Estimator

Description

WorkWise is seeking a skilled Architect / Roofing Estimator with at least two years of experience to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating roofing materials and construction costs, preparing detailed quantity takeoffs, and coordinating with vendors and suppliers. The position requires proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to conduct risk assessments related to roofing projects. You will manage a small team of two members, providing guidance and ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met. This role operates within US-based working hours, and effective communication in English is essential. As an Architect / Roofing Estimator at WorkWise, you will play a crucial part in project planning and budgeting by delivering precise cost estimates and resource evaluations. Your coordination with diverse stakeholders will help streamline procurement and material delivery processes, while your leadership of the team ensures smooth execution of estimation tasks. Responsibilities

• Perform detailed roofing material estimation and construction cost estimating to support project budgeting and planning.
• Conduct comprehensive quantity takeoffs using provided plans and specifications to determine material requirements.
• Utilize AutoCAD software to review architectural drawings and assist in preparing accurate estimates.
• Coordinate communication and negotiations with vendors and suppliers to source materials at competitive prices.
• Evaluate risks associated with materials and project timelines to advise on cost impacts and project feasibility.
• Lead and manage a team of two estimators, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and procurement teams to align estimation and project objectives.
• Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, vendor contacts, and project documentation for seamless reference and auditing.
• Monitor industry trends in roofing materials and construction techniques to recommend innovative cost-saving opportunities.
