Zarrar & Co. seeks a skilled Architectural Draftsman with at least 5 years of professional experience in architectural drafting and construction documentation. The successful candidate demonstrates strong proficiency in AutoCAD and a solid understanding of architectural detailing, construction methods, and site requirements. This role demands precision in producing and coordinating detailed architectural drawings that translate design concepts into clear, construction-ready documentation. The draftsman works closely with the architecture team, consultants, and site personnel to ensure all drawings meet project specifications and timelines. The candidate must be organized and capable of managing multiple drawing packages simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistency. While team management is not a responsibility in this position, excellent coordination and communication skills are essential for working with multidisciplinary teams. This role also requires familiarity with drawing revision processes and compliance with construction standards to support smooth project execution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, layouts, and construction details, ensuring clarity and precision.
• Develop comprehensive working drawings and construction documentation based on project requirements and architectural designs.
• Create schedules and layouts such as door and window schedules, reflected ceiling plans, and floor-finish layouts.
• Produce detailed drawings covering architectural elements such as walls, partitions, staircases, washrooms, and joinery.
• Coordinate and integrate architectural drawings with structural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC disciplines for multidisciplinary consistency.
• Review drawings meticulously for accuracy in dimensions, levels, annotations, and overall consistency before submission.
• Incorporate revisions and feedback from architects, consultants, clients, and site teams promptly and accurately.
• Assist in preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings, and record drawings in alignment with project needs.
• Maintain and update organized drawing registers, revision histories, and document control records to ensure traceability.
• Liaise with site teams to resolve technical drawing issues and clarify construction details to support field execution.
• Adhere to project deadlines while upholding the highest standards of drafting accuracy and documentation quality.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and communication related to drawing preparation and project coordination.
• Stay informed about architectural construction materials, methods, dimensions, levels, and detailing best practices to enhance drawing quality.
